If you plan to prepare a simple and delicious homemade mayonnaise, then you will need the following products:

  • egg – 1 pc;
  • lemon juice – ½ tablespoon;
  • white wine vinegar – 1 teaspoon;
  • French mustard – ¼ teaspoon;
  • sea salt – ¼ teaspoon;
  • natural olive oil – 1 cup.

Preparation steps

  1. Take an immersion blender and add lemon juice, egg, white wine vinegar, mustard and sea salt to the container. Blend all the ingredients for 20 seconds. You should end up with a homogeneous mixture.
  2. Very slowly and in small portions, start pouring in the olive oil while continuing to mix all the ingredients. Continue to do this until you have poured in all of the olive oil.
  3. Continue to whisk for 10 seconds. You should end up with a thick mixture. Stop the blender and taste the mayonnaise. Add more salt if necessary.
  4. Transfer the finished mayonnaise from the blender to a special container for storage in the refrigerator.
