In the cold winter, we often lack not only vitamins but also bright fruity and berry flavors. This cranberry tea recipe offers both—it’s perfect for a cozy evening with family or a snowy mountain retreat, adding brightness, flavor, and aesthetic pleasure.
Cranberry Tea with Red Hots Recipe
Ingredients
Ingredients Needed
- 1/4 lemon;
- 1 tablespoon black tea leaves;
- 1 tablespoon honey;
- 60 grams sugar;
- 1 cinnamon stick;
- 180 grams cranberries;
- 2 dried cloves;
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg;
- A pinch of ground cardamom;
- 5-10 grams fresh ginger root;
- 500 ml water.
Instructions
Preparation Process
- Prepare all the necessary ingredients and a saucepan. Since cranberries have a naturally tart taste, we add sugar, and honey gives it a distinctive flavor.
- Heat half of the water until it boils, then add the tea leaves. While the tea is steeping, peel the ginger, wash the cranberries, and blend them with sugar.
- In the saucepan, combine the tea, cranberry puree, remaining water, and all the spices. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, slice the lemon and add it at the end along with the sugar and honey once you turn off the heat. Cover and let it steep for another 10 minutes.
Finally, strain the tea through a sieve or cloth, and the drink is ready!
