  • 100 ml Water (warm)
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour


  • 540 g Flour (wheat flour, highest grade)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pcs Vanilla sugar (10 g.)
  • 80 g Butter
  • 110 g Sour cream 20%
  • 2 pcs Egg
  • 2 pcs Orange zest

To grease before baking:

  • 1 pc Egg

How to prepare sugar buns with yeast dough

  • Pour yeast, sugar, flour into warm water – mix and leave for about 15-20 minutes so that a frothy cap appears.
  • Beat the eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla and salt into a bowl and stir with a whisk. Pour in melted butter at room temperature, sour cream, grated orange zest (only the top orange layer) – mix everything up.
  • Pour the flour into a large bowl, pour in the egg and sour cream mixture and the yeast opara, knead a soft dough. Cover the container with a lid, set aside to rise twice in a warm place, about 1.5-2 hours.
