Tuna salad recipe easy, Bean, and Apple – juicy, crunchy, filling, unique, and incredibly delicious! Our step-by-step recipe with photos will help you prepare it easily and quickly.
Today, I’ll share with you a recipe for a very tasty and somewhat unusual salad. Once, in a girls’ book, I read that the main rule for a good salad is to combine seemingly incompatible ingredients. The more incompatible, the better! In our salad today, nothing really matches (except perhaps celery and apple), and that’s probably why it’s so delicious! Honestly, tuna and apple together in one dish never crossed my mind! But someone thought of it, and it turned out great! Try it! It’s a hit at our place, so I make it often and in large quantities.
So, tuna, bean, and apple salad! The proportions are given for two large adult servings. You can prepare a small portion for a trial, and if you like it, increase everything proportionally.
Tuna salad recipe easy
Easy Tuna Salad Recipe with Beans, Apple, and Celery
Ingredients
- 150 g Celery stalks
- 400 g Canned beans
- 185 g Tuna in own juice
- 1 Granny Smith apple
- 0.5 Red onion
- 100 g Mayonnaise
- To taste Salt
Instructions
Preparation:
- The longest and most difficult part is washing and cleaning the celery thoroughly. I use a vegetable peeler for this, removing the tough skin only from the convex side. It looks like a lot of celery in the photo, which is because I made a double portion that time and the stalks were small. In reality, 150g is about 3 large stalks.
- Next, chop the celery finely. The finer you chop everything in this salad, the better.
- Drain all the liquid from the beans. You need 400g, which is one standard can. Add the beans to the celery.
- Drain the liquid from the tuna can (185g – one can) using a strainer, pressing with a spoon or fork to make sure the salad remains juicy but not soggy. Add the tuna to the beans and celery.
- Finely chop the red onion. Half of a medium onion is enough. If the onion is small, use a whole one.
- Peel and finely chop one medium apple. If the apples are very small, use two.
- Add mayonnaise and salt to taste.
- The tuna, bean, and apple salad is ready! It’s amazing, very tasty, crunchy, and juicy! It also has a high protein content due to the fish and beans, making it quite filling.
- I highly recommend you try this tuna, bean, and apple salad. I suspect you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
