These simple vegetable cutlets with rice, cabbage, carrots and onions turn out so delicious that they will surely become one of your favorites.
Vegetable Cutlets with Rice
Ingredients
- 100 g Rice
- 1 kg White cabbage
- 1 pieces Carrots
- 2 pieces Onion
- 4-5 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 pieces Egg
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Ground black pepper
- to taste Herbs
You can add
- to taste Flour or breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Boil the rice for about 20 minutes. Cool.
- Cut the cabbage into large pieces. Put it in a saucepan, pour water over it and put it on medium heat. After boiling, simmer for 7-8 minutes. Drain the water and cool the cabbage.
- Put it through a meat grinder. Put it in a colander and leave it for 10-15 minutes to drain. After that, squeeze it slightly.
- Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Chop the onion. Fry with two spoons of oil for 5-6 minutes. Cool down.
- Mix the cabbage with rice, stir-fry, egg, salt, pepper and chopped herbs. Form the cutlets. You can roll them in flour or breadcrumbs to give them a browner crust.
- Pour the remaining oil into a skillet and heat over medium heat. Fry the cutlets for 3-5 minutes on each side.
